How do you enable your logger system to write to the debug console?

Hi Lg,

So WinRT is a little different from .Net when it comes to the Debug Console. When a assembly or exe is built in release mode in WinRT it automatically compiles out all calls to the Debug console. To get around this all template should have a DebugLogAppender class located in the Common, if you created your project before this change was made to the project templates or you added the nuget package directly you won't have this file.

So the first question is does this file exist in your project, if not you can create a new project and just copy the file over or you can contact me directly through CodePlex with your email address and I can send you the file.

If you already have the appender already then we need to figure out why it's not being loaded.

to get some background when did you create your project and what version of the framework are you on?

Hi again.

I followed your advice and added a DebugLogAppender to the xxx.Common directory,,, and.... voila.... now it works like a charm smile
